When is country music not going to cheer anyone up? We’ve got a honky tonk, country classics event coming to Shippensburg, PA at the end of February that no country fan should miss! The Country Classics Unplugged event will feature three popular country music artists: Mark Chesnutt, Neal McCoy, and Joe Diffie!

Mark Chesnutt has managed to amass quite the country fanbase with hit songs like “Too Cold at Home” and “Bubba Shot the Jukebox”. He’s had 14 #1 singles and 23 top tens in his career, making him quite the accomplished singer!

Since his arrival to the country scene in 1988, Neal McCoy has sold over 5 million albums! Some of his top songs include hits like “No Doubt About It”, “Wink”, and the popular love song “They’re Playing Our Song”.

Joe Diffie is a Grammy and CMA Award winner with 12 #1 hits and 20 top tens! The singer was a huge influence on the country scene of the 90’s and has also amassed a huge fanbase. Some of his hit songs include masterpieces such as “Ships That Don’t Come In”, “John Deere Green”, and “Pick Up Man”.

The Temptations and The Four Tops –  
Two of the most beloved and successful Motown groups are returning to Shippensburg, PA for a rockin’ night of classic music! This soul-filled, spirit rising event will take place only 30 minutes from us here in Carlisle, PA, so you’ll be sure not to miss it!

The first of these is the world-famous quintet The Temptations. This legendary vocal group are known as R&B kings with a track record of 14 #1 R&B songs, almost 100 R&B charted songs, three Grammys, and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! They’ve also been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame. Some of their well-known hits include “My Girl”, “The Way You Do The Things You Do”, “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone”, and so many more!

The second Motown stars are The Four Tops, who were smash hits in the sixties! They hold one of the longest Motown chart toppers with the hit song “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)” which was a #1 single in 1965. They reached their peak with a soulful romantic trilogy featuring “Reach Out I’ll Be There,” “Standing In The Shadows Of Love,” and “Bernadette.”

It Shoulda Been You
“It Shoulda Been You” is an upcoming musical presented by The Playhouse @ Allenberry and is only ten minutes from us here at Pheasant Field Bed and Breakfast! The performance will be running from February until March, so there will be plenty of chances to catch this hilarious comedy. This entertaining new musical presents the story of two culturally different families who are drawn together for a wedding. When the event is crashed by the bride’s ex-boyfriend, the two families are thrown into a frenzy and only chaos and laughter ensue! Come and enjoy this heartwarming and fantastic comedy this winter; it’s a must-see!
