It's nearing the month of May and summer vacation is just around the corner! In our past blogs we've covered what Cumberland County, Pennsylvania has to offer our guests such as delicious foods, world-class breweries, gorgeous hiking trails, unique artistry, and more! In this blog we at Pheasant Field Bed and Breakfast would like to share a great way to spend the warm summer months: Sailing aboard the lovely riverboat Pride of the Susquehanna!
The Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat was constructed about 30 years ago in Harrisburg, PA and has been a popular tourist attraction ever since. It is only one of six "authentic" paddle wheel riverboats in the United States, utilizing only paddle wheels for both propulsion and steering. Both the inside and outside of the boat were created to be reminiscent of classic 1800s riverboats, making this a great destination for history lovers and buffs alike!

Dinner Cruises:
Craft Beer Pairing Dinner – Enjoy a beautiful, two-hour dinner cruise with a mouth-watering dinner paired with Pennsylvania craft beer favorites! Live music will fill the air as you cruise gently down the Susquehanna river for a relaxing evening.

Murder Mystery Dinner Cruise – Have a blast with a night of ‘whodunnit' excitement filled with dinner, intrigue, prizes, and more! Audience members will have the chance to play roles in the mystery cruise and make it a night that you won't soon forget!

Live Entertainment Events:
After Dark Party Cruise – Enjoy drinks, appetizers, and live music under the stars for night parties aboard the Pride! The riverboat will be docked for Happy Hour for two hours then take off for a one-hour midnight cruise along the moonlit river.
Upcoming Dates: June 1 & July 6 Times: 9pm-12am Price: $14 online or $15 at the door
Jazzin' on the Pride – The Pride will showcase live musicians for a night of fun every Thursday from June to October! The first two hours are free to attend while the boat is docked for Happy Hour, while tickets can be purchased for an additional one-hour evening cruise. Don't miss this opportunity to dance the night away along the river!

Samplings and Grown Up Fun:
Wine and Cheese Tasting – Relax for the evening with a beautiful sunset cruise aboard the Pride while sampling delicious wines, cheeses, and assorted appetizers! Wine expert Chris Mildner will personally select four wines for each event, each with its own theme. Come aboard for this wine cruise paradise!

Brews Cruise – The Pride will host multiple breweries from across the United States for a night of top-notch wines and samplings! Mingle with the company representatives and learn more about the art of wine making during these luxurious night cruises!
