What's Brewing Along the Cumberland Valley Beer Trail in Carlisle, PA

Many are drawn to the Cumberland Valley area because of its historical significance, taking in all the tours, sights, monuments, museums, and more that Pennsylvania has to offer. Some are drawn in by the gorgeous natural sights, enticed by the hikes through the woods, bird-watching on the mountains, and relaxing bike trails. Then there is an altogether new type of trail that draws visitors to the area: The Cumberland Valley Beer Trail.

The Trail itself is made up of numerous Cumberland Valley breweries, including seven from our very own Carlisle, PA with two more on the way! To make things go even more smoothly for your vacation needs, we offer ample and comfortable lodging here in Carlisle, PA at our Pheasant Field Inn Bed and Breakfast! Since we could ramble on and on about all the breweries here in our lovely hometown, we'll keep it simple by giving a short overview of four of them. That way you will still have so many pleasant surprises when you come to explore them on your own!

Desperate Times Brewery
This brewery was founded on the basis of channeling the very same spirit of beer-making from the Prohibition era, hence the name Desperate Times. You are sure to find unique and very American-like brews here!

Burd's Nest Brewing
This brewery was founded in 2013 and has since then been brewing artfully-crafted beers made from as many local ingredients as possible!

Molly Pitcher Brewing Co.
The Molly Pitcher Brewing Co. is a locally-owned brewery and taproom that is sure to give you a comfortable atmosphere as you taste-test their wonderful plethora of beers. In addition, many of their offered craft-beers are brewed on sight!

Market Cross Pub & Brewery
This Pub offers a large variety of over 250 beers and ales that aim to please the taste-buds of any beer connoisseur. They offer delicious food, beers brewed on-sight, and even an outdoor Beer Garden!
