Our B&B is a perfect site for weddings, receptions, special gatherings, retreats, and family reunions.

Carlisle is famous for collector car shows held at the Carlisle Fairgrounds during the spring, summer, and fall. Dickinson College, Messiah College, and Penn State's Dickinson School of Law are also located nearby. The US Army War College at Carlisle Barracks - also home of the Carlisle Indian School, Jim Thorpe's alma mater - is just 3 miles from our bed and breakfast.

As part of our concierge services, we provide a book containing menus from local restaurants, suggest specific restaurants based on food and style preferences, and make dinner reservations. Local itineraries with some hidden gems are available for adventurous guests that want to experience some local history and get a taste of central Pennsylvania. Local maps, with directions, are provided to tourist attractions, restaurants, and other places of interest.

We offer pick-up and drop-off service to "thru hikers" of the Appalachian Trail. These guests enjoy a room for the night, a hot shower, and a respite from their hike, while they stock up on supplies near the mid point of their journey.

Here are some great ideas for your special May Getaway weekend:

Check-in at Pheasant Field B&B; Have dinner at one of our wonderful restaurants; See a fabulous show at the Carlisle Theatre OR enjoy live theater at Allenberry Playhouse. Shop at The Village Artisans or The First Block of Pomfret Street.

May 11 is Wine Tourism Day across the the US. South central PA has a wonderful variety of wineries.  Some have wonderful expansive views over the Susquehanna River, others are along small country roads in rustic settings , while still others are housed on grand estates .  That weekend happens to Mother's Day weekend so it would be a perfect time to take mom to taste some PA wines!

1863 was a year to remember in the Cumberland Valley.  150 years ago Union and Confederate troops clashed here in the area and you can learn about that prelude to Gettysburg at an exhibit at the Cumberland County Historical Society Museum. 1863 - Invasion in the Valley runs through October 26.  We have reason to believe that one skirmish occurred right here at Pheasant Field B&B!  Ask us about it during your next stay with us.

We celebrate our anniversary in May. Pheasant Field B&B will begin its 20th year of providing hospitality to guests from around the world!  Watch for a special offer in our May newsletter. If you don't already receive our newsletters (don't worry - we send our only 3 or 4 per year!), you can sign-up here to start receive our emails.

Visit our online Gift Shop where you can purchase some of those favorite items you saw or used here at Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast. Coffee mugs, robes, flower vases, the exterior candles in the windows, and of course our cookbook, "Pheasant Field Favorites" are all available online.
